What does the Bible say about? So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good.

God will carry us through, even into our advanced years. Our Creator has had a plan for us since before we were born. He had our days ed since the beginning of time and it is up to us to make wise decisions to help our bodies live a more vibrant and full life and to impart our wisdom to those placed in our lives.

What scripture says about aging in grace & wisdom

But what is so golden about growing feeble, teeth decaying, not being able to drive, or even bladder control issues. These bible verses about aging beg to differ!

As the years begin to go by, our youthful bodies begin to feel the wear and tear from years of use they endured. The eyes begin to grow blurry, the hearing lessens as the days go by, and the loss of mobility becomes a reality. You soon realize that the once vibrant young body has now become frail and no longer has that bounce-back that it used to have. No, we can not turn back the hands of time, but we can live a more abundant and healthy life right now regardless of how much time has passed or how much we may still have before us.

Why should god let you into heaven?

Aging is a beautiful gift from God. For those already in their Golden years, God has given you an opportunity to share what you have learned from your many days on this earth, to help others still growing and learning the ways of this world.

The knowledge and wisdom you have gained over the years is like a secret treasure to those needing a little sage advice.

You have been allowed to share your experiences as teachable moments for the generations to come. Each of these privileges are a blessing in and of itself!

The elders in our lives — our parents, grandparents, or leaders in the church — are here to help us to the glory of Messiah to become godly human beings of worship and praise to our Creator. Heeding their council is crucial to our relationship with God as we begin to find our own way on this earth.

Experience the best in senior living

May these Bible verses about aging gracefully help those in their Golden years find joy where God has allowed them to be, and for those of us still learning, find our aged, wise ones from whom to seek wisdom. May God bless you abundantly! And I will still be carrying you when you are old. Your hair will turn gray, and I will still carry you.

I made you, and I will carry you to safety. Rise in the presence of the aged and honor the elderly face-to-face. Fear your God. I am the LORD.

But those who keep waiting for the LORD will renew their strength. But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon.

They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green. He is my rock!

1 timothy

There is no evil in him! Remember the days of old, Consider the years of all generations. Ask your father, and he will inform you, Your elders, and they will tell you. Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, that your days may be prolonged and that it may go well with you on the land which the LORD your God gives you. The glory of the young is their strength; the gray hair of experience is the splendor of the old.

I must tell the next generation about your power and greatness.

Suggest a verse

God, your goodness reaches far above the skies. You have done wonderful things.

God, there is no one like you. Abraham lived for years, and he died at a ripe old age, having lived a long and satisfying life. He breathed his last and ed his ancestors in death. Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father.

Treat younger men as brothers. For I am sure of this very thing, that the one who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into fellowship with his son, Jesus Christ our Lord. That is why we are not discouraged. Though outwardly we are wearing out, inwardly we are renewed day by day. Our suffering is light and temporary and is producing for us an eternal glory that is greater than anything we can imagine.

Older men are to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in perseverance. Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.

Do not sharply rebuke an older man, but rather appeal to him as a father, to the younger men as brothers, the older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters, in all purity.
